So it was with some surprise that the internet reacted to a tweet sent out by Ivanka Trump brand's official Twitter page, otherwise known as Ivanka Trump HQ, in celebration of the US's Memorial Day on Sunday.

The tweet had advice for those wanting to mark the day: "Make champagne popsicles this #MemorialDay" it said including a link to an ice lolly recipe for the holiday in honour of fallen servicemen and women. "Turn up the music - it's a three day weekend."
