Learn a hack to get REAL wood smoke flavor on your pellet grill by making a simple miniature firebox using charcoal and wood chunks. This mimics the way wood is burned for smoke flavor in an offset smoker (also sometimes known as a stick burner) or in a charcoal smoker. By using this method, you take advantage of the smoke and gas compounds released at various temperatures when real wood logs burn to get authentic smoke flavor on your pellet grill. This hack works on ANY pellet grill for both hot and cold smoking, whether its a Pit Boss, Traeger, Camp Chef, or other brand.
