Castle Křivoklát is one of the oldest royal castles in czech. Its founding dates to 12 century. Many Czech king has a residence here. Castle was damaged by many fires and 15 century it was serving as prison so its popularity dropped down significantly. In the 19 century it was held by Fürstenberk family and the made vast repairs to the castle. Last owner Egon II. sold the castle and lands to Czechoslovakian state in 1929.
The castle i held to this day in ownership of the state.
