A clip from the CFA International Cat Show, 2018 - straight from the camera - no post processing.
I'd used Sony's slog3 camera profile, which compresses luminescence (light & dark) to apparently acquire more dynamic range than otherwise is suppose to be possible - thus the lack of contrast in this vid.
Working with these videos, I'm thinking it's really meant for HDR video as applying any Premiere Pro video presets to these clips gets me video that's way too contrasted & saturated for regular (non HDR) video.
Worked ok in testing before the show in natural light - but at the show, found I couldn't get a reasonable white balance (trying various things) because of the lack of a regular video image, so ended up with the yellow cast - which is what's making color correction difficult. Should have switched to regular video to acquire better white balance - but now thinking I won't be using log files again 'till I switch to HDR (if I do...) regular video is just way easier (for me) to work with.
Also I shoot rather dark because, indoors, increasing brightness also dramatically increases camera noise, which I'd rather avoid, so I brighten the vid in post processing.
