Darren seems nice. He did just appear out of nowhere for us, but I guess the Creator is keeping us on our toes. Sawyer seemed really bothered by his arrival. Maybe he knew Darren before we all met like this… no, that seems silly. Even I would know that he strayed from contact with others during his power build-up.
Angel was worried about the scars on his face, but he insists on keeping it like that. Said it was, “part of his identity.” I’m not exactly sure what that means, but I guess it’s like how Nanea doesn’t want to trade her glasses for contacts. I think she said that mostly everyone has seen her with them on, and apparently she’d be unrecognizable without them. That might be an exaggeration, but I suppose I understand.
Anyway, he seems to be wearing a “VR Headset,” as that’s what Jack informed me of. Aelius asked about it, but it seems pretty personal, so I won’t pry into the topic. It’s covering one of his eyes. He said his eyesight is pretty bad, which is why he keeps it covered since he doesn’t really need to use it. I suppose that’s normal, considering Ashlyn went blind in one of her eyes as well.
Apparently he doesn’t hold any powers at the moment. All that I know is that he has to keep his headset with him all the time. It’s interesting, and I don’t exactly know the reason for this, but I’ll let it be. I already told him I wouldn’t ask things about his personal life.
I don’t know what it is, but… Black hair, the scars on his face... I don’t know what it is, but he reminds me of someone. And… he has a striking resemblance to Sawyer as well. Am I overthinking things? I hope not. Darren seems like a valuable asset to our team. I hope to get to know him a bit better.
