Welcome to 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐧, I came here long away from Helsinki by a Baltic Cruise called "𝐌𝐒 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚". Tallinn, situated on a bay in the North, is Estonia's capital city and a perfect holiday destination if you want to combine the comforts of the modern world, versatile nightlife, and luxurious adventures with rich cultural scenes in the local historical setting. Today, I travel from Helsinki to Tallinn and stay at a cozy little apartment in the old town area of Tallinn. During the sea journey, you can enjoy the best seasonal products and Finnish delicacies in the restaurants, make some purchases in the shops and enjoy the beautiful views of the Baltic Sea.
In this video, I will cover the main places in this small and beautiful city Tallinn. Estonia’s capital is easy to navigate on foot and on a map. I took a map of the city and started to explore this beautiful city.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 :
𝟏. 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐞 - The town square is the social heart of the city, a venue for open-air concerts, handicraft fairs, and medieval markets and it’s a great place to meet, socialize and shop. The buildings framing the square are Instagram-worthy. In winter it becomes an enchanting Christmas market.
𝟐. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐮 𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞 - It was built in the 1300s and is one of the entrances to Tallinn's old town. It was a part of the defense system of the Tallinn city wall built in the 14th century. Tallinn has an astounding collection of castles, cathedrals, church spires, monasteries, and colorful merchant houses all protected by these impressive 14th-century walls.
𝟑. 𝐒𝐭. 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 - It is formerly known as Monk’s alley. What makes the passage particularly interesting is that it's home to the St. Catherine's Guild, a collection of craft workshops where artists use traditional methods to create and sell glassware, hats, quilts, ceramics, jewelry, and hand-painted silk.
𝟒. 𝐒𝐭. 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐬𝐤𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐥 - This onion-domed, Russian Orthodox Church was built in 1900 and named after the Russian hero who defeated the 𝐓𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐊𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 in the thirteenth century. The interior is sumptuous and rich and an array of saints and other ritual figures adorn the walls.
𝟓. 𝐒𝐭. 𝐎𝐥𝐚𝐟'𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 - One of Tallinn’s top attractions, originally built in 1250 and considered the tallest building in Europe during the Middle Ages, this city landmark is now a church. This is the city's biggest medieval structure and took its name from the sainted 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐥𝐚𝐯 𝐈𝐈 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧.
Finally, it came time to catch an Uber and get to the ferry terminal D of the Port of Tallinn and say goodbye to this small beautiful country.
In next week’s video, join me to discover this overnight cruise to Stockholm. This was a very luxurious cruise with so many things to do on board including shopping, night club, restaurants, live music, and much more. Who is Arvind Sarin?!
I like to think I’m a regular guy, who got extremely lucky, with my life in order. I’ve got a great career, better friends, and can even cook a delicious (low-carb) dinner without setting off the fire alarm.
Day to day, I work hard to run my startup. I’m a product strategist and design thinker… A fancy way of saying we build apps for big companies. Every day is different, but being a guy who’s allergic to boredom, suits me just fine.
After hours, I like getting out of the house and exploring something new - whether that’s a new movie or a new city across the continent - I tend to be the one getting myself and friends into spontaneous adventures. Trail running, swimming laps and even some tae-kwon-do are my favourite ways to stay active, too.
I’m looking to create a community that is intelligent, caring, and believes positivity is the key to solving most problems. It helps if you are educated and love to travel. And warning… you’ll need a high tolerance for corny jokes on my channel 😏
