The first in NYACC's new series, After Shocks, featured Dhanunjaya “DJ” Lakkireddy, MD, FHRS, FACC, Executive Medical Director for The Kansas City Heart Rhythm Institute and Chair of the American College of Cardiology’s EP Leadership Section, discussing his “practice changing study,” STROKE-VT. Results showed that, among patients who underwent left ventricular arrhythmia ablation with a radiofrequency catheter, direct oral anticoagulants were superior to aspirin in preventing cerebrovascular events. The moderator was Suneet Mittal, MD, FACC, FHRS, Director of Electrophysiology & Associate Chief of Cardiology Valley Health System.
