[Synth/Ambient/Modern Classical/Electronic/Orchestration/OST] Here is a really special video for all the fans of Brian De Palma 's 1983 hit film: "Scarface". This video contains all the score material used for the climax scene when Tony Montana (Al Pacino) equips himself with a Colt AR-15 and tries to defend his mansion against a full-scale assault by Bolivian drug kingpin Alejandro Sosa's men. I have to admit that making this video was a pain but enjoyable as i wanted to not only give you guys the score material but to also showcase the scene in a new & inventive way. Yes, this video gives viewers a stop motion first person perspective through the eyes of Tony Montana during his final moments alive. I think its really dope to see it in this perspective because it puts the viewer in that scene & you really feel like you are seeing it in a fresh / new & creative way. Also included (for the very first time) is the super rare & unreleased Giorgio Moroder score titled: "Tony's Demise" (Track 2) and it is played moments before The Skull (Geno Silva) strikes Tony's back with a 12 gauge double-barreled shotgun. Nowhere else can you listen to this score online as it is unreleased & extremely hard to obtain. I also want to note how sick these scores sound without all the gunfire and screaming; It's a shame that they were faintly played during the scene because i personally think they make it more climatic than it already is. Going off that, Giorgio Moroder 's score to this film is literally his best work and it baffles me that many of the scores from this movie are still not released (one of which is this "Tony's Demise" as well as the rest of the mansion shootout suite found in this video). I do have a YouTube playlist titled: "Scarface [1983] Complete Soundtrack & Score" (link to it below) which gives you most of the rare Scarface Moroder scores but there are still quite a few from the movie that seem to be lost & sadly unobtainable. Scarface is a 1983 American crime film directed by Brian De Palma and written by Oliver Stone. The film tells the story of Cuban refugee Tony Montana (Al Pacino) who arrives in 1980s Miami with nothing and rises to become a powerful drug kingpin. The cast also features Michelle Pfeiffer, Steven Bauer, Robert Loggia and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. Upon film release, initial critic reception was fairly negative, with criticism over excessive violence and profanity and graphic drug usage. All the music in the movie was done by Giorgio Moroder and an official soundtrack titled: "Scarface: Music from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" was released to the public on December 9th, 1983. The album features the collaboration of multiple singers, including Paul Engemann in the track "Scarface (Push It to the Limit)", Debbie Harry in "Rush Rush", and Amy Holland in "She's on Fire" and "Turn Out the Night", among other artists. The soundtrack received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Original Score at the 41st Golden Globe Awards. In 2006, the soundtrack was featured in the game Scarface: The World Is Yours, which is based on the film. Many of the songs were also featured in the video game Grand Theft Auto III (2001), on its fictional Flashback 95.6 radio station. While those tracks are very obtainable, its the rare score work for the film that i know many people are dying to get their hands on. Overall, i am happy to upload & share more rare synth work by Giorgio Moroder because it puts us all one step closer to having all the unreleased scores to this timeless classic.
