STORYLINE:
Fresh clashes erupted on Wednesday between Turkish security forces and Kurdish militants in Cizre.
An AP stringer based in the town in Sirnak province said a building was targeted by Turkish forces because it was being used by Kurdish militants as a concentration area.
Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu reported on Wednesday that the number of Kurdish militants killed during the operations in the southeast region of the country has reached 168.
Turkish security forces launched a large-scale operation last week hoping to route what they called armed militants linked to the outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party, or PKK.
Nearly two-thousand people have been killed since an informal two-year cease-fire between Turkey and the PKK collapsed in July.
