In this clinical live-case video Dr. Kolberg from the Marienhospital in Bottrop, Germany performs an IORT treatment during breast-conserving surgery also using the INTRABEAM® from ZEISS.
The patient is a 49 year old woman with a 21mm tumor in the right breast. After the tumor removal a 35mm INTRABEAM Spherical Applicator is used for the low-energy irradiation, delivering a dose of 20 Gy over a radiation time of 18 minutes.
