I just got my new WoodMizer LX25 bandsaw sawmill, ordered in April 2021, and picked up in late May. Got it running in June.
The smallest bandsaw from WoodMizer is sold with a 208cc Kohler engine, and a 277cc Kohler is optional (for an additional $300). The Harbor Freight sawmill that I retired had a 280cc engine, and it was underpowered. The current HF mill uses a 301cc engine, but is not currently shipping.
So, I bought a 420cc engine ($300), which doubled my horsepower. Since the weight is higher than the 2 Kohlers, I needed to make some mods to avoid over-taxing the lifting clutch. I moved the fuel tank up to the top rail, and fabbed a much lighter glass-pack muffler.
I also posted a startup video.
