Just a very short video showing how I fitted a C-profile/channel awning rail to the Sprinter for the Wild Earth awning (Demo in next video: [ Ссылка ] ). I chose to fix it in the roof gutter so that the awning would seal against the top edge of the van and also for aesthetic reason. It only took about 3 hours over 2 days.

I did use 1 1/2 tubes of Sikaflex to seal and build out the gap between the channel and the van so water would run off easier and so there would be less chance of the dreaded green roof slime building up in the gap.
