Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) for targeting ballistic missiles launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base on 30th May 2017.
A friend and I were just driving along when we saw the missile launch only a few miles in front of us. It took a couple of seconds to comprehend what we were witnessing and pick up the camera.
This test is understood to have been a reaction of the United States to ongoing testing of nuclear capable missiles from North Korea.
