Celebrity Cruises (the luxury label of Royal Caribbean) presents itself as "The Best Large-Ship Cruise Line for LGBT travelers" in direct competition with all-gay cruises.
They say they offer a much broader range of cruise experiences. While all-gay cruises offer just a limited number of departures and a narrow range of ship types and experiences, Celebrity cover a broad cross-section of cruise opportunities.
This TV commercial ran nationally in the US on ABC and CNN. It was supported by full-page color ads in five newspapers including The New York Times, Washington Post, and San Francisco Chronicle, as well as in Architectural Digest. Ads also appeared in the UK and Australia.
Royal Caribbean has a perfect 100 rating on the HRC Corporate Equality Index.
