Michelle Brier , Sabrina Kiamilev, and Nikki Kang introduce the Bounty for the hackathon, which includes prizes such as tickets to an EDM music festival and arturia beat pads. Audius is a decentralized music streaming app owned by its community. It allows artists to upload their music and aims to empower them by providing direct access to fans. The current music industry only gives 12% of revenue to artists, which Audius wants to change. The platform uses a Content Ledger made up of multiple blockchains and is governed by anyone who wants to participate. There are over 60 node operators serving millions of monthly users and over 150,000 artists. The video also explains how to interact with Audius using the API and the SDK, which allows reading and writing data to the platform. The speaker demonstrates how to use the API to get trending tracks and stream them in a game. They also show how to create an app that uploads tracks to Audius using the SDK.
