Finally, this day has arrived, the day promised to all of us months ago, one of my businesses was approved for the entire 24-month working capital loan. But there are a few catches, so it isn't exactly easy sailing ahead. What do I mean? And, when will we all get our $10,000 EIDL grants and the $5,000 bonuses-all this and more in today's video?

After speaking with my rep, she approved our loan and said it goes to the final review for processing. After logging into my portal, I was presented with a new section showing our loan amount has been changed to $500,000.
Clicking on this gives me the option to choose what loan terms I want. Not exactly sure why I am presented with "options" as there was only one option to accept. Maybe some people are given multiple loan options that I am not sure about. Have any of you seen this in your portal? Comment down below.
After selecting my choice, and clicking Accept, I was taken back to my portal, showing my loan modification was being processed.
Pretty simple and painless process. But now, here comes the more interesting part.
When I spoke with my rep, she could not give a timeline for actual funds in my bank. So here I wait. It might be a week, two weeks, a month, or longer. They are unable to give any more guidance as to a timeframe. So, I guess it will be sometime between now and when Taylor Swift walks into this studio and begs me to go out with her. Or said another way, sometime between now and never gonna happen.
Finally, I now wonder about the EIDL Advance and Targeted EIDL Advance. Remember, the initial intention of the $10,000 EIDL Advance was to advance or give to your early part of your loan money to help cover bills until the entire loan was approved. Of course, Congress went on the news and said, "everyone gets this," which caused a mad rush of everyone applying just to get the advance. This causes the advance to get treated more like a grant for all, rather than what it was initially intended to be, an advance.
Right or wrong, that is the situation we find ourselves in today. With Congress publicly saying every small business and gig worker can apply for the $10,000 grant, the SBA treats it only like an advance.
With this in mind, would a business get the full $500,000 loan and a $10,000 grant? I do not think so. From my belief, the SBA will say, "You received the maximum $500,000 amount, deposited; there is nothing to 'advance' or give early to you."
What do you think? Should businesses that receive the $500,000 loan also be able to get a free $10,000 grant? If so, why, if no, why not?
What situation are you guys in? Did you get approved for 24-months working capital? Did you get your advance, or are you in the same boat as many, hearing nothing back from the SBA?
I am also interested in an informal poll; what type of business structure are you, EX: sole proprietor, LLC, S-corp, C-Corp, etc. Comment down below.
