A. Start- Set the concept 2 rower to level 3, strap feet in, grasp handle
B. Action- Extend hips, knees, low-back and pull the handle
C. Finish- return to start position, how fast can you row 1000m?
*Coaching Cues- Proper posture with every pull, maintain ankle-knee-hip alignment
Benefit: The 1000 meter row is a phenomenal endurance test because it incorporates a full-body action with ZERO impact on the joints and proper posture at the end position
Purpose: This test gauges both your Aerobic and Anaerobic Energy Systems making it a great marker to demonstrate overall improvement in Endurance.
Caution: Becomes extremely intense as you near 1000m, halt the test if you feel dizzy or light-headed
