The Peterborough Museum & Archives wants to document our community’s experience of the COVID-19 pandemic and what it’s felt like in your home, in your school, and in your life. We want to preserve your experiences and memories, because someday, years from now, a group of students will be learning about this time period in their history class. What a strange thought!
That’s why it’s important to save these memories and experiences so that future generations know what we went through, both the good things and the bad.
Grab a journal or some paper, cut up these pages, and stick it all together to remember what life was like in the year 2020. Junk journals or scrap books often include all kinds of things, not just writing. Add photos, drawings, comics, newspaper clippings, and bits and pieces of your memories from this time to creatively tell us your story.
When you’re done with your journal, be it a few months or a few years from now, donate it to the Museum so we can keep it for the future!
