There was a time when downtown Chicago was crowded with huge movie theaters and if you wanted to see a new movie that's where you had to go. Otherwise you had to wait until the local theater had it. Most of the grand old movie houses are gone but crown jewel of them still stands The Chicago Theater right on State St. just south of Lake St. In this video we show the outside sign blazing in all its glory.

More Neon?
We have many other neon related playlists so if you enjoy these beautiful works of art check out all we have to offer. One of the reasons I first got online was to build a web site to house my collection of neon sign photos. Here's a link to the photo archive. [ Ссылка ]
We have some postcards, posters and other products at our Zazzle store. [ Ссылка ]
And we have an interesting collection of “pins” on Pintrest. [ Ссылка ]
I am very excited about my collaboration with the Neon Museum of Philadelphia. They will be presenting my photos and video as part of their multi-media programming. We will also be working together on their archive to present what we hope to be the largest digital collection of neon video and photography. And oh by the way the museum is about a whole lot more than just a trove of signs. We will be exploring the related but larger subject of American "roadside culture”.
