Improve Your Kick Serve
In this tennis serve lesson, Jeff Salzenstein explains the concept of pronation on the kick serve. He will share the specific serve areas that you really need to focus on, in order to develop a consistent and reliable kick serve.

Here’s a brief overview of today’s lesson:

Many players either have technique flaws, or are not physically able to rotate their shoulder. Instead of focusing on “pronation”, make sure to have a great stance, shoulder turn, hip coil, toss, trophy position, and finish.

If you cover these areas, then you don’t really need to think about pronation on your kick serve. If you want to make that ball jump off the court, Jeff recommends adjusting your grip from a continental towards the backhand side. Picture players like Djokovic and Raonic.

In summary, get into a solid stance, focus on turning the shoulders in the first move, place the toss above your head, and finish on the same side of your body, facing towards you.
