OMB Peezy is the type of dude who will wear a charming smile while giving you two middle fingers. The 22-year-old rapper grew up in project housing in Mobile, AL before relocating to Sacramento, only to face a bout with homelessness. Last year, a hometown show in Mobile ended with the E-40 signee taking a bullet during a shooting. But according to him, if you’re not laughing, you’re crying. In an interview with Hot 97, he dusted it all off his problems. “It wasn’t funny then, but it’s funny now…That shit hurt.” So while you watch Peezy’s performances of “Big Homie,” and "Let Up," know that, underneath that smile and natural stage presence, this is a guy who has gone through a lot just to do what he loves.
