Sahil tends to post longer Twitter threads on the weekends, and shorter-form content during the week.
The reason for this is that people have a higher likelihood of reading something long on a weekend than on a weekday.
During the week, we’re all busy. Even if we see an interesting tweet, we probably don’t have time to read the whole thing, so will just save it to read later—which means it won’t help with the virality of the thread.
But on Saturday or Sunday morning, people are more likely to be having coffee, hanging with family, and scrolling the newsfeed. This means they’ll have time to dive deeper into something.
When tweeting, remember to think about your audience. Because even great content won’t reach maximum impact if it’s posted at the wrong time.
