Visionary conductor and music director Franz Welser-Möst leads a five-concert Perspectives
series with two of the world’s top orchestras. Under Welser-Möst’s record-setting tenure, The Cleveland Orchestra has been called America’s “finest” and “most brilliant orchestra” by The New York Times. In two distinctive performances, they showcase the inventive programming for which Welser-Möst has been so highly praised, featuring a range of extraordinary 20th century orchestral works. He also conducts three concerts with the illustrious Vienna Philharmonic, an ensemble with which he has worked extensively, including its prestigious New Year’s Concerts. These thought-provoking concerts play an exciting role in Carnegie Hall’s ambitious 2023-2024 festival that explores the fall of the Weimar Republic.
