Maj.-Gen. Dany Fortin is stepping aside from his role as the head of Canada’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout amid a military sexual misconduct investigation into him.
Global News can confirm that the investigation is linked to a sexual misconduct allegation dating from before Fortin was a general.
The Department of National Defence announced Fortin’s departure in a statement Friday.
As Abigail Bimman reports, Fortin is the latest high profile military member to be accused.
