Little Black Book 1968 B side to The Show Must Go On (CBS Records 3874). This tune was written and produced by Kenny Lynch and arranged by John Paul Jones, who also did arrangements for Dusty Springfield. He produced and played the guitar on Dusty's "Ain't No Sun, Since You've Been Gone" and he later played bass with Led Zeppelin. Sue & Sunny were a British vocal duo and they were session singers in the 1960's 70's and 80's. Also they were the original members of the group The Brotherhood Of Man for 3 years, then Sunny had solo success with the song Doctor's Orders. Although they are sister's, their stage names were Sue Glover and Sunny Leslie. Born in India as Yvonne (Sue) Wheatman and Heather (Sunny) Wheatman, they later moved to Surrey in the UK where they set their sights on a career in pop. They recorded their first song together in 1963 as The Mrytelles with a cover version of Lesley Gore's "Just Let Me Cry". After that they signed to Columbia Records as Sue & Sunshine, eventually changing their name to Sue & Sunny. They also recorded 3 tunes as The Stockingtops in 1968.
In 1965 they sang backing vocals on Alex Harvey's single "Agent 00 Soul / Go Away Baby" Then they did a session as backing singers for Lesley Duncan, which went really well and they found themselves in demand. They went on to record with Dusty Springfield, Elton John, Lulu, Tom Jones, Love Affair, David Bowie, T Rex, Joe Cocker, Madeline Bell and more. Thank you to a beautiful friend once again for this XX
