A suicide bomber in northwestern Pakistan killed a senior police officer and at least four others on Wednesday in the city of Peshawar. Officials said the bomber was on foot when he targeted the vehicle of Assistant Superintendent of Police Hilal Haider in a busy part of the city. The other four deaths included two police bodyguards and two bystanders. Police said that at least another 30 people were injured. The suicide bomber detonated the bomb as Haider's vehicle was passing through a crowded market. Pakistani Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack. SOURCE: BBC
