NOTE: In prewar Warsaw theatre Qui pro Quo, run by composer Jerzy Boczkowski, had rather satyrical and literary profile, on the contrary to the grand-revue style, that was typical for Qui Pro Quo's major competition theatre Morskie Oko, directed by lyricist and resourceful manager, Andrzej Włast. On these two stages met the elite of interwar cabaret artists in Poland: Hanka Ordonówna, Loda & Zizi Halama, Zula Pogorzelska, Mira Zimińska, Ludwik Sempoliński, Adolf Dymsza, poets Julian Tuwim, Jerzy Jurandot, Marian Hemar or best bandleaders and composers such as Iwo Wesby, Artur and Henryk Gold, Henryk Wars, Zygmunt Karasiński or Jerzy Petersburski.
The revue's title "Gabinet figur wo(j)skowych" contains the witty play of words: a blend of two Polish words "military" and "wax", as a hint to Madame Tussaud's Waxworks Gallery in London and a biting mockery on the state of Polish army management. In this revue debuted the "exotic" male vocal group Coro Argentino Dana - later very popular under a simpler name of Chór Dana. Disguised as "original" gauchos from Argentine, Chór Dana gave to the speechless audience a sensational performance of famous Argentine tangos: "Siempre Querida", "Plegaria" and "Liana".
