Maestro Fresh Wes performs part of "Let Your Backbone Slide" during the Canadian rap tribute at the 2021 Juno Awards.
Michie Mee introduced the full tribute to Canadian hip hop featuring a look back through musical history with Kardinal Offishall and DJ Starting from Scratch. They wove the story between live performances of "Let Your Backbone Slide" by Maestro Fresh Wes, "Ol' Time Killin'" by Kardinal and Jully Black, and "Turks" by NAV, while Haviah Mighty closed out the segment. It is the 30th anniversary of the rap category at the Juno Awards.
