Happy Chinese New Year 兔(tu) you all! 🤗🧧🎇🏮
One of my favorite things to do during the Chinese Lunar New Year is visiting 豫园 (Yu Garden) in Shanghai. It’s always exciting to see how unique the lanterns 🏮 are each year, and according to the lunar calendar, 2023 is the year of the rabbit! 🐇
Rabbit in Chinese is 兔 (pronounced as ‘tu’). Years of the Rabbit include 2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951, 1939, 1927...The sign of Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture. 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope. Source: chinahighlights.com
Yu Garden is usually super crowded during this time of the year but, we were fortunate enough to go there on a rainy day which meant no big crowds and no queues at all. ☺️
