Dr. Afriel and Dr. Galina Mirny are two human scientists seeking to study a group of ancient species called "Swarms." However, Afriel seeks to exploit this thriving ecosystem, and although Galina initially opposes it, she eventually agrees to his ambitious pursuits. Then, when they think all is going well, the Swarm begins to get hostile, and they're forced to make a choice that will determine the fate of humanity.
