Blizzard hit Baltimore of the United States on Jan. 22 evening, hindering local traffic and people's daily life severely.
Meteorological department said the snowstorm was the largest in the past 30 years, with wind speed averaging to 30km/h and topping to 60km/h.
Public traffic system was suspended as average snow accumulation on roads reached 60 cm thick. Even taxis were rarely seen.
Private vehicles were almost all buried by the snow.
A man said he used 15 minutes to dig his car out of the snow, with shoveling and four-wheel drive.
Local government called on citizens to prepare drinking water and foods for three days because most supermarkets, restaurants, and stores were suspended from Jan. 22 afternoon, and would not reopen until Monday morning.
A couple said they just go to hold out until Sunday. "Hopefully the sun will come out in a day or so," they said.
Related department deployed 3,000 snow sweepers and 300,000 ton snow-melting agent to get rid of the snow in main roads.
Weather service said the snow will last to Sunday morning.
