A rare astronomical event, the Lunar Occultation of Saturn, will be visible to Sri Lankans just after midnight on July 24th, 2024 (starting at approximately 00:50 am on 25th July, 2024). You can observe this event with the naked eye by looking at the Moon starting around 00:40 am on July 25th. If you have a telescope or a pair of binoculars, you may be able to observe the occultation (the disappearance and reappearance of Saturn) more clearly.
