1.Wash mangoes well 4-5 times,wipe it with a clean cloth.
2.10 t0 15 chillies
1/2 cup rock salt or 1 cup normal salt
3tsps turmeric powder
asafetida Powder - 1/4 tsp
grind well.
3.sprinkle 1tsp teaspoon of gingelly oil
and mix
it well so that the oil will get coated
on the mangoes.
4.Take a big jar or
container, add 1 layer of
mangoes, then add a
layer of salt , chilli,
turmeric powder mix.Close it and keep
it aside.
5.Shake well every day morning and
evening. By the 3 th day,
the mangoes would have oozed out
lot of water. Take 3 tsp of mustard
seeds and grind it with that water
and add it back to the mango pickle.
6.10th day,ready.serve with curd rice.
