The stars aligned, when Natalie and Sarah combined their talents to establish their self-titled fashion label, Natalie & Sarah. Both met and studied at the Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney, where friendship quickly developed over a shared love of fashion.
After both graduating with a Bachelor of Design, the two went separate ways, while still remaining close friends. Natalie travelled to Florence to study for a year at Accademia Italiana and subsequently landed a design role at Charlie Brown and Howard Showers. Sarah dove straight into the fashion industry, securing design roles firstly for Wayne Cooper and then for Jigsaw.
Since then a strong and professional partnership established as the two collaborated to form the proudly Australian made Natalie & Sarah. The label combines their personal styles into an even mix of eclectic edginess, meets casual chic. By utilising textural fabrics and prints, sleek wovens and soft jerseys, draping and tailoring, Natalie & Sarah have developed an edgy but wearable entry into the fashion industry.
The label began with their first collection, Dance Little Flamingo SS12, being sold mainly through market stalls and online. After launching to positive reviews, they were ready for the next step. In April 2013 Natalie & Sarah will debuted their second collection, SS13, to a wider audience. Having been given the opportunity to participate in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia through the New Generation catwalk show, this marked the biggest milestone yet for the Natalie & Sarah label.
