For almost five decades, Star Wars has been one of the most beloved movie franchises of all time. However, when in 1977, the first movie of the original trilogy, A New Hope, hit theaters, little did George Lucas and the rest of the cast and crew know that it would end up becoming such a huge sensation and in almost 50 years from then would end up having a whole universe of its own spanning multiple movies, TV shows and books.
