French students are being forcefully evicted from Sorbonne University in Paris by the police. Pro-Palestinian demonstrators have set up tents in the university courtyard, rallying with chants like “Gaza, Sorbonne is with you.” These protests, mirroring similar actions at Science Po, began on Monday.
In response, Sorbonne University authorities have been restricting building access since noon. Police have escorted approximately 50 protesters out of the premises.
These demonstrations are part of a larger wave of protests sweeping across Western countries, initially sparked by university students in the US.
