Both have similar performance despite having a bit different playstyles & rotation. Personal thoughts: Ayato is universally more friendly to play (range) while Childe can reward you with a big burst if you played it right (front-load). I originally thought that Vape Childe is far superior but my own result shows just a little difference. Freeze & Taser Ayato feels better, but Childe might outperform Ayato with more enemies. Who's your personal favorite?
Ayato: no "one-shot", off & on-field Hydro, wider AoE range, easier to play, the CD is fixed, SHING SHING SHING SHING veynAyato
Childe: front-load burst, on-field Hydro only, limited small AoE range, mechanically harder, need to manage CD, HYUH HYAH HYUH HYAH
Edit: For the build video, I made a mistake where Ayato is affected by Pyro resonance (+25%ATK)
The difference in stats is expected, plus, others have said it: Childe ascension Hydro DMG, Ayato CRIT DMG
BTW, I forgot about doing the same Primo Geovishap element, Ayato fought a Hydro one in the first clip, while Childe fought a Pyro one in the second clip 💀 But you get the idea, a little changes here & there will only result in a 1/2/3 seconds difference

About:
A low-spender account with NO RESIN refreshes, EVER (Welkin only + 3 times BP). In terms of artifacts and economy, it's very F2P friendly (playing since day 1). Welkin is only for getting the characters I want, not constellations. This channel won't ever be about C6 R5.
