Hi everyone, so I found some rare ( in the UK ) kiwi berries to try out here. These are getting more popular as they don't have that brown hairy skin of the regular egg sized kiwi fruit and therefore don't need to be peeled . They vary in size from small grapes to large gooseberries and can be eaten whole. Botanically they are Actinidia Arguta, variety most likely Issai although there are other varieties in cultivation. They have that typical kiwi taste, quite sweet when ripe and I assume high in Vitamin C. Very pleasant to eat.
I have one of these growing in my garden so I'm hopeful of getting some fruit in the next year or so 🤞🤞
