In this clip (4 of 10), Dr. Pamela Hartzband and Dr. Jerome Groopman describe their model of six medical mindsets. Each mindset represents a common thread that they identified from interviews with people around the United States about their health, and treatment of medical problems.
This clip is part of the lecture "When Experts Disagree: The Art of Medical Decision Making,” by Drs. Jerome Groopman and Pamela Hartzband, an oncologist and endocrinologist respectively and a husband-and-wife team. Both are faculty members at Harvard Medical School, where Dr. Groopman is Recanati chair of medicine and Dr. Hartzband is assistant professor of medicine.
This lecture, given at NIH in 2015 as the sixth annual Stephen E. Straus Lecture in the Science of Complementary Health Therapies, is part of the NCCIH Online Continuing Education Series. Free CME/CEU credit is available to health professionals (see [ Ссылка ]).
