In 2005, Sega brought some of the Sega Ages 2500 games to the US and Europe in a compilation called Sega Classics Collection. Here I take a look at each of the 9 games it contained.

3. Some of the Sega Ages 2500 games were reissued in Japan for the Playstation 3. Dragon Force among them.

4. 3D Ages was a play on partnership between Sega and D3Publsiher. 3D Ages backwards is Sega D3.

5. Similar to the Japanese releases, the US and European game here was a budget title.

6. After Volume 15 in Japan, Sega shutdown 3D Ages and took control of the series themselves. Rumor has it that Sega was furious over the quality of many of the games and wanted to right the ship.

7. I wish Sega would reissue the Virtua Racing you see here. It was actually a damn good remaster.

8. The Sega Ages 2500 series in Japan is the closest thing we've ever had to a Model 2 arcade compilation at home. Games like Virtua Fighter 2, Last Bronx, Fighting Vipers, and Virtual On appeared.
