EU imposes 4th set of sanctions against Russia.
France, which now holds the EU presidency, announced that the group had agreed a fourth package of penalties "in cooperation with our international allies."
Individuals and businesses implicated in the aggression against Ukraine, as well as several sectors of the Russian economy, are targeted by sanctions."
The group also agreed a declaration to the World Trade Organization "on suspending the application of the most-favored-nation clause for Russia and pausing the examination of Belarus' application for entrance to the WTO," according to the French president.
If Russia is suspended, its businesses will no longer be given preferential treatment across the bloc.
