After I took this video, I shared the info with a few other bikers that have tried it and reported similar results. Apparently this procedure allows the accelerator pump to inject sufficient fuel into the intake and then by leaving the throttle closed when starting it, allows for enough enriching to crank it up. For a bike that floods easily this probably wouldn't work, but mine is very cold blooded and requires some choking for 5 to 10 minutes of warm-up before opening the choke all the way. I don't get the same results by holding the throttle open, just when I twist the grip a few times then let the grip rest while I start it. As I stated in the video, it used to take at least 20 kicks to crank it up cold.....now it just takes a single kick.
