Under an oak tree, sitting in the park
(get children to sit down)
I look at the sky and its already dark
(look up)
Autumn has turned the green leaves red,
Orange, yellow, brown instead.

Catch, catch a leaf as it's falling down
(hold arms up one at a time and pretend to catch a leaf)
Catch it if you can
Twirl, twirl around,
(spin around)
Make a wish, while its in your hand
(clasp the leaf in your hand)

Down by my feet, there's a rustling sound
(put hand on ear, with ear tilted towards the ground)
two little squirrels bury nuts they have found
(look squirrely, pretend to bury nuts)
Autumn is here, and its getting colder,
(rub arms)
time to dress in a hat and scarf
(pretend to put hat and scarf on)

Can you catch it? catch it if you can x3
(jump up and try to reach for a leaf)
then blow it away..
(pretend to blow leaf off your hand)
