I visited a fantastic new art museum created by Cheech Marin from his vast collection of Chicano Art. This is one of the best collections of paintings I have seen in a long time. Cheech donated hundreds of works and collaborated with the city of Riverside, California. They provided a 66,000 square foot mid century library that had its original design in tact.
The interiors were design by Kulapat Yantrasast, founder of WHY architecture in Culver City; a firm that has emerged as a go-to designer for cultural institutions.
I was familiar with many of the artists in this collection, and the more I looked, the obvious it became that Cheech was able to secure the best of the best, of each artist's work.
Kulapat Yantrasast’s WHY in Culver City a firm that has emerged as a go-to designer for cultural institutions.
Totally enjoyable and inspiring to see this beautiful collection!
