Many small business owners around the world have a limited potential to borrow money and expand, because they don’t have a financial identity. Mobile finance entrepreneur and TED Fellow Shivani Siroya tackles that issue with her mobile app Insight, which collects data based on day-to-day operations in these businesses and formulates an alternative credit score. This score is accepted by some banks and has provided a gateway to success for businesses to borrow and grow.
