Rhomboid Major and Rhomboid Minor (Rhomboids)
Rhomboid Minor:
Origin: Nuchal ligament and spinous processes of C7 and T1
Insertion: Medial (vertebral) border of scapula, adjacent to scapular spine.
Rhomboid Major:
Origin: Spinous processes T2–T5.
Insertion: Medial (Vertebral) border of scapula, inferior to scapular spine to inferior angle.
Concentric Actions: Retraction of scapula and downward rotation of scapula.
Innervation: Dorsal scapular nerve.
