This is a recording of a two Pirate Game match conclusions that took place at a Sword Arts meeting in November 2018. There is some some pretty awesome dagger work in shown in these fights. In this game one person is considered the captain of a ship that is marked off as a boxed zone. They are to slay any attackers (Pirates) who enters onto their ship zone. This video shows a single attacker who comes onto the ship to slay the captain and claim if for themselves. The game can also be done where it is not continuous and/or there are multiple attackers in waves as well as coming to the zone from different directions. The style chosen helps deal with different aspects of situational and spatial awareness.
