Good morning everybody. My name is Alex Karalexis, I'm the project manager for Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors.
I would like on behalf of Jared, Dylan and myself to thank you all very much for being a part of this very emotional and special day. This has been an unbelievable project. It's always nice to have the support of the community and business where we're located. We do work all over the country, but the support we get here is amazing and it's overwhelming every time.
My name is Jesus Mercado, known as Jesse. My name is Nick Kirschman. My name is Jason Ames, I'm the project manager at Peak One Builders. My name is Luis, I'm with Peak One Builders. We're the general contractor that did the project here for Sergeant John Ricketts. My name is Mike Christensen, I'm a veteran and also the owner of Peak One Builders the company that has had the honor to do John Ricketts home.
We can't say enough about how thankful we are and how honored we are to be able to give back to veterans like John, so deserving and so humble and just thankful for what Jared's organization has done for people like him.
In my opinion when you look at this home today, what you're looking at is a real live miracle, because what you're looking at is the result of commitment, of love, honor, duty, all the things that make up a great American.
It was really, really special watching not only the home transform for John, but really watching John transform himself. He really, really is a different person now than he was a year or two ago and he's filled with joy now and makes me want to get out here and do more of the these. I just can't wait to give him this home. It's going to be such an awesome experience.
You know the old days you read miracles were about turning water into wine and all of these things, but the truth is that every single person here today and every person out there has within themselves the ability to create miracles. When you take a group of people, like the ones that built this house and the ones that built Cory's house and you take that group of people and they're bound by a common cause. Which is a cause bigger than themselves. That is where miracles come from.
It's just overwhelming support that we get and it's amazing every time we do one of these houses. This is our fourth house, that we get another company, another veteran owned company, organization or whatever it is that just continues to provide overwhelming support and just trying to help as much as they can and be a part something that's bigger than life. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it John and good luck in your new house.
