Sky is using the power of 3D technology to tackle one of the nation's most common phobias -- spiders! About 50% of the population admit to being scared of spiders, so to help them face this fear head on Sky has created ground breaking new footage of these creepy crawlies in 3D.
The innovative 3D therapy footage gives member of the public the chance to experience 3D technology ahead of Sky 3D launching to consumer's homes on the 1st October.
Thanks to 3D technology suffering arachnophobics will now be able to get up close and personal with a wide range of spiders, from common house spiders and daddy long legs, to false widows and Chilean rose tarantulas, without actually having to see or touch them in the flesh. The Sky 3D footage is the ultimate immersive experience which shows spiders scurrying around and even crawling out of the TV screen.
The 3D footage, narrated by The Royale Family's Ralf Little will be screened at Liverpool BugWorld Experience from August 13th 2010 to September 5th 2010.
