Black Pepper Chicken Leg is an enhanced version of your normal chicken legs that you can make in just 30 minutes. These spicy chicken legs are made using pepper as a primary ingredient. Make this at your home today and serve it hot. Do try it out and share your feedback with us!
Black Pepper Chicken Leg Recipe
Ingredients :
Chicken Drumstick - 4 pieces
Egg - ½ no
Corn Flour - 3 tbsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Oil (to deep fry) - As Needed
Pepper Sauce
Oil - 2 tbsp
Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp
Garlic (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp
Green Chilli (finely chopped) - 1 nos
Onion (finely chopped) - 1 no
Dried Red Chilli - 2 nos
Black Peppercorns - 2 tsp
Soy Sauce - 1 tbsp
Vinegar - ¼ tsp
Salt - ¼ tsp
Water - 2 tbsp
Spring Onion - 1 tbsp
Cooking Instructions:
1. Slit the chicken drumstick pieces on the sides.
2. Add egg, cornflour and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken pieces.
3. Deep fry the chicken pieces in hot oil for 10 minutes or until cooked through. Set this aside.
4. In a mixer grinder, pulse grind the red chillies and black peppercorns into a coarse mixture.
5. In a hot work/kadai, add oil and once the oil is hot add ginger, garlic and cook until the ginger and garlic turn golden brown.
6. Add finely chopped onion and cook until the onions turn golden brown.
7. Add soy sauce, vinegar and salt. Mix well and add some water.
8. Add the fried chicken drumstick pieces and the ground chilli and pepper mix.
9. Toss until the pepper sauce coats the chicken pieces. Add spring onions and remove from the heat.
Cooking Tips:
1. Double fry the chicken pieces for extra crispiness.
